On a recent visit back home to London, I was lucky enough to take a little trip with the family over to France. We always stay in Wissant, a little fishing village that we have been going to for years. It's such a quite little place but there always seems to be something crazy going on! This trip didn't fail to surprise us!
The day after we arrived there was a curfew enforced on the Village and anyone who is still in the village after 8.30am was quarantined to their homes and not able to leave until at least 4.30pm. The reason for this was there were a number of unexploded BOMBS that had surfaced on the beach from World War 2!!!! They thought it was 2 or 3 bombs but at the end of the day, it was 17 that were exploded.
I never thought that my son would, in his lifetime, witness the sounds of World War 2 bombs exploding nearby. A few days later we walked down to the beach where there are a number of derelict German Bunkers, it was very quite and peaceful.
I have heard the term 'girl crush' being used in the blogging world and Claire Leninais mine! She is an extremely talented surface pattern designer. It's a wonderful thing when you can use your textile designs for interiors and fashion. I also adore these two french online boutiques Claire designed for!
